M45 - Pleiades Star Cluster

Description
Possibly the most well-known and most recognizable star cluster in the whole sky, the Pleiades has been featured in everything from the ancient Nebra Sky Disk, the Bible, and even the Subaru logo. Located about 440 light years from Earth, the cluster is full of young, hot, blue stars once believed to have been formed from the dust surrounding them, however modern research has shown that the stars are actually just passing through a dusty part of our galaxy.
